A Government Entity is seeking to hire an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the State Agencies Division.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Arkansas and should have significant experience with the Administrative Procedures Act and Freedom of Information Act. Knowledge of legal principles and practices relevant to administrative hearings, licensing, statutory interpretation, and agency rules is preferred.

The attorney hired for this position will provide legal representation to the State of Arkansas's agencies, boards, and commissions through their administrative processes and agency matters. Additional duties include providing director and agency attorneys education related to rule promulgation, Administrative Procedures Act, Freedom of Information Act, and employment law.

This position requires daily in-office presence and the ability to travel in and out of state overnight occasionally. The applicant must be self-motivated to work collaboratively in a professional environment, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively. Assistant Attorneys General work under the supervision of Senior and Deputy Attorneys General.
