Jones Day is seeking a mid-level associate to join the Antitrust & Competition Law Practice in the Washington DC office. Qualified applicants should have three to six years of transactional antitrust experience (private firm or government agency), including HSR, deal counseling, and merger investigations before the FTC, DOJ, and other enforcement agencies. Experience with other substantive areas like antitrust investigations (FTC/DOJ/State AG), complex litigations (particularly federal), and client counseling is also strongly desired. Experience with technology industries, pharmaceuticals, health care, and retail is desirable but not a prerequisite. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong research, writing, and analytic skills; an ability to work independently and creatively; an ability to multi-task across matters; an ability to work successfully as part of a team and assume significant responsibilities; and should possess excellent academic credentials.Applicants must currently be licensed, or currently be eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply. The salary range for this role is $260,000 - $495,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
