Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Administrative Law Associate Attorney to join our renewable energy and environmental law practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative law, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients in renewable energy and environmental regulatory matters.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist in administrative law processes by preparing case files, organizing evidence, and participating in discovery.
- Provide guidance on energy and environmental law & regulations.
- Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements or agreements.
- Maintain organized records within the law office to ensure efficient case management.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client consultations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Connecticut bar.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy, environmental, and administrative law, and Siting Council appeals to the Connecticut Superior Court.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Prior legal administrative experience is mandatory.
