The Role That Moves Deals Forward
As a Real Estate Attorney, you'll support the Senior Attorney in Colchester to keep purchase, sale, and refinance transactions on track from intake through post-closing. Your legal judgment, disciplined process, and clear client communication will turn complex files into smooth, on-time closings that make a tangible difference for buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders.
What You'll Master Every Day
Client & File Leadership
- Coordinate with clients, agents, lenders, and title partners to keep timelines moving and issues escalated early.
- Step into first-chair signings as readiness is demonstrated, representing the firm with professionalism and empathy.
Title & Document Excellence
- Review title packages, assist with curatives, and prepare title opinions for senior review and issuance.
- Draft, revise, and quality-check contracts, addenda, payoff letters, CDs/ALTAs, closing packages, and lender documents.
Operational Precision
- Own discrete workflows (pre-closing checklists, funding packages, disbursements) with accuracy and speed.
- Maintain underwriting, regulatory, and internal SOP compliance—and help document process improvements.

Position Details:
- Location: Colchester and Rocky Hill, CT (serving Eastern CT)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; occasional early evening signings as needed
- Reports To: Senior Attorney, Colchester
- Growth Path: Junior second-chair → independent first-chair → project/people leadership based on performance
