Kenneth R. Baird graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in May of 2002. Since 2002, Kenneth has handled and tried different types of cases including automobile, trucking, products liability, wrongful death and premises liability as well as various types of commercial litigation. Kenneth has also formed hundreds of limited liability companies and helped a number of small business owners with contracts, indemnity and hold harmless agreements, employment disputes, operating agreements, debt collections, commercial lease agreements, and other legal needs. ? A former partner at a large insurance defense firm, Kenneth has valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate, assess, and defend personal injury matters. He brings this unique perspective to the representation of injured plaintiffs. In a large victory, Kenneth secured the dismissal of a safety equipment manufacturer from a wrongful death claim on the basis that the Canadian company which distributed part of the decedent's fall protection equipment was not subject to personal jurisdiction in the Texas courts. The dismissal was later upheld by the Dallas Court of Appeals and became final after the Texas Supreme Court elected not to review the case. Kenneth also gained extensive experience as a defense lawyer with indemnity and hold harmless agreements as well as insurance policies, including the best manner in which to draft and enforce indemnity agreements so that they promote the client's interests and confirm with the applicable law. ? Kenneth was born in Findlay, Ohio in 1977. He is married to his wonderful wife, Tiffany. Kenneth enjoys serving as a football referee in his spare time and hopes to one day officiate a college football game. Kenneth also is an avid golfer and enjoys attending Houston Rockets games. Kenneth and The Baird Law Firm support a number of charities, including Star of Hope, The Warm Place, and Sunshine Kids.
