In 1927, Barney William Walker Sr. and Harry Fagg, set out to practice law under the name of Walker & Fagg. Soon after, Barney Walker Sr. built a practice on his own. Walker Sr. established himself as a highly accomplished attorney, and in 1965 his youngest son, James (Jimmy) Walker, joined him as a partner in Walker and Walker, until his father’s death in 1971. Barney Walker had tremendous ambition and a work ethic that backed his reputation of being trustworthy and honest. In 1978, the firm became Walker and Melvin. Marty Melvin joined Jimmy and they worked together until 2018. In 2006, Seth Woodall joined the esteemed Walker & Melvin Law Firm and became partner in 2009. When Marty retired in 2018, Seth continued the firm as Seth M. Woodall & Associates, PLLC. James R. Walker, a partner since joining his father in 1965, still sits as counsel for the firm.
