Position Overview:We are seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney with 2–3 years of relevant experience practicing in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have direct experience handling workers' compensation matters before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission, including participation in hearings.
This position is based out of our Shady Grove, MD office and offers a hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office, with 1 days remote flexibility, subject to hearing docket requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all stages of workers' compensation matters before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission.
- Conduct hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Provide legal advice and develop case strategies tailored to clients' needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and firm leadership to ensure high-quality case management.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients while providing responsive communication and support.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Maryland.
- 2–3 years of experience handling Maryland workers' compensation cases, including hearings before the Commission.
- Excellent oral advocacy, negotiation, and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a busy docket.
