Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims, providing expert legal counsel, and advocating for clients involved in workplace injury cases. Your expertise will help ensure fair resolution of claims while safeguarding the interests of our clients. Duties:
  • Manage and oversee workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, including investigation, documentation, and settlement negotiations
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation laws
  • Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and pleadings related to workers' compensation cases
  • Conduct court depositions and participate in trial preparation to advocate effectively for clients
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, employers, and other parties involved in workers' compensation disputes
  • Perform legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategies
  • Maintain comprehensive case management records using legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Proven experience handling personal injury cases with a focus on workers' compensation law or related litigation
  • Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory regulations, and court procedures related to workers' compensation cases
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively in settlement discussions and court proceedings
  • Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, court filings, and legal advocacy
  • Experience with contract drafting, trial preparation, legal motion preparation, and court depositions
  • Familiarity with general & commercial litigation practices as well as employment law case experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
