Description:
Position Overview:We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to handle a caseload of Colorado workers' compensation matters from initial consultation through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, a client-first mindset, and experience navigating the Colorado's workers' compensation system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation claims
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Ensure compliance with Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation procedures
- Collaborate with staff, paralegals, and other attorneys
Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in Colorado (required)
- 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation or related litigation
- Strong knowledge of Colorado workers' compensation laws and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience representing injured workers (plaintiff side)
- Trial or hearing experience before administrative law judges
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred but not required)
