We're a growing, client-focused small firm in Wayne, NJ, known for practical counsel, compassion, and results. You'll get meaningful responsibility, mentorship, and direct client contact from day one.

What You'll Do:
  • Counsel clients on estate plans; draft wills, revocable/irrevocable trusts, POAs, living wills/HC proxies
  • Handle probate and estate administration matters from intake to close (surrogates' filings, accountings, asset transfers)
  • Prepare simple tax-related filings and coordinate with outside CPAs (inheritance/estate tax awareness a plus)
  • Advise on beneficiary designations, titling, and basic asset-protection strategies
  • Draft and negotiate trust funding documents; coordinate with financial institutions
  • Manage guardianship and special needs planning matters (nice-to-have, not required)
  • Appear in Surrogate's Court/Superior Court as needed; communicate proactively with clients

What We're Looking For:
  • NJ-licensed attorney with 1–5+ years in trusts & estates
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail; excellent client bedside manner
  • Ability to manage a steady caseload and deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with probate procedures, trust funding, and basic tax concepts
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with paralegals and support staff

Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with elder law/Medicaid planning, guardianships, or business-succession planning
  • Comfort with practice tech (document automation, practice management, e-filing)
