A Law School invites applications for a non tenure visiting clinical faculty position in the Camden location to begin in the summer of 2024. The positions are funded by a major appropriation from the New Jersey legislature to Rutgers Law School that is in its third year and is expected to continue, and by a three-year grant from the New Jersey State Bar Foundation (NJSBF). Each position will be for an initial one-year appointment with the potential for renewal for up to three years. Appointment for the non tenure visiting faculty position may be as a visiting assistant, associate, or full professor depending on experience and other considerations. Visiting Clinical Professor, Housing Advocacy Clinic
The visiting clinical professor will be part of a statewide eviction prevention effort and will collaborate and co-teach with clinic colleagues in the Housing Advocacy Clinic. Minimum requirements include a J.D. degree and membership in good standing of the Bar of any state; 5 years of experience in civil legal services, with a focus on eviction prevention, and demonstrated potential for teaching excellence.
