The Opportunity:
We are looking for a USCIS Immigration Attorney (Junior Level) to join our USCIS team. This role is ideal for an attorney early in their immigration career (1–3 years) who thrives in a fast paced environment, wants to grow professionally, and is ready to collaborate closely with a support team while delivering high quality legal representation. You will manage a diverse USCIS caseload, conduct FOIA reviews, prepare clients for interviews, and ensure filings are accurate and timely.

What You'll Do:
  • Assess relief eligibility and develop case strategies for USCIS matters
  • Manage a caseload including family based petitions, U Visas, VAWA, TPS, N-400, I-90, and FOIA reviews
  • Review and approve filings prior to submission
  • Review 10–15 FOIAs weekly and prepare detailed assessments, including potential relief
  • Review CAL DOJ and FBI FOIAs to determine the impact of criminal history on immigration relief
  • Draft immigration declarations and supporting documents for motions to vacate
  • Prepare clients for USCIS interviews
  • Lead, guide, and mentor paralegals and legal assistants
  • Ensure deadlines are met and cases move efficiently
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain excellent case management and communication

Compensation, Benefits & Equal Employment Opportunity
The annual compensation range for this position is 85,000 to 100,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package such as health, dental, and vision insurance, uncapped paid time off, parental leave, and a Roth IRA. Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (California preferred)
  • 1–3 years of immigration law experience
  • FOIA review experience preferred
  • Previous immigration experience as a legal assistant or paralegal strongly preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Proficient with electronic case management systems
  • Organized, detail oriented, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • A dependable laptop or desktop (8GB RAM minimum, Core i5 or higher) paired with a stable 10 Mbps connection to ensure smooth performance

Salary Description
$85,000 to $100,000 USD yearly
