Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented USCIS Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation on immigration matters, ensuring clients navigate complex immigration laws and policies effectively. You'll work directly with our founding partners to:
- Lead a Team: Develop mentorship skills while helping recruit, train, and supervise paralegals and legal assistants
- Shape Practice Strategy: Contribute to case selection, practice development, and client acquisition strategies
- Management Training: Receive structured coaching in law firm management, financial oversight, and business development
- Practice Innovation: Implement case management systems, quality control protocols, and efficiency improvements
- Professional Development: Access continuing education, leadership training programs, and immigration law conferences
Responsibilities:
- While developing your leadership capabilities, you'll handle large USCIS caseload that showcase your expertise
- Lead complex family-based immigration cases from consultation through approval
- Handle challenging cases involving RFEs, NOIDs, denials, and appeals
- Conduct legal research and draft persuasive briefs and motions
- Provide expert consultation on high-stakes matters involving inadmissibility, waivers, and complex eligibility issues
- Represent clients in USCIS interviews and administrative proceedings
- Mentor and review work product of legal staff
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of dedicated USCIS immigration practice with proven track record of successful outcomes
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Active bar membershipin good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction)
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong client service orientation and ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising paralegals or legal assistants
- Track record of client relationship management
- Experience with case management systems and legal technology
- AILA membership and active participation in immigration law community
