The Position:
An Estate Planning Attorney is seeking an experienced, licensed in California, Trusts & Estates attorney to work with a well-regarded, thriving boutique firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of related experience and will be ready to hit the ground running. A successful candidate will have experience in estate planning, entity formation, trust administration, and probate.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Managing the estate planning and business matters
  • Analyzing, advising, and revising a wide array of estate planning documents
  • Collaborating with clients to develop and meet their estate plan goals
  • Participate in consults for potential new clients
  • Assisting the Intake Coordinator with marketing and presentations
  • Leading and working collaboratively with team members

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Drafting full estate plans in Wealth Counsel, including CRUTS
  • Drafting and reviewing necessary documents for business formations and dissolutions

Assist the trust administration and probate departments

Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice law in California
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in estate planning
  • Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small-team environment
  • Experience in managing other legal assistants and paralegals

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Book of Business
  • Trust administration and probate experience
  • Experience with Clio Manage, Wealth Counsel and Microsoft 365
  • Adept at using Mac computers and systems
  • Solid command of English including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
