Position Overview:Our firm is looking for an experienced trial attorney to join our CVA department. The ideal candidate is energetic and eager about helping survivors of sexual abuse. Must have a strong background in trial practice and excellent oral argument skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct jury trials
- Oversee trial strategy and preparation
- Conduct depositions
- Assist in case evaluation and in developing strategies and arguments in preparation for trial
- Attend in-person pretrial conferences
- Ability to prepare pretrial and trial motions re: testimony, evidence, rulings, etc.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and trial practice.
- Prior experience on the Plaintiff side with Personal Injury highly preferred.
- Strong oral argument skills.
- Must have taken and defended for 50+ depositions.
- Successful completion of multiple trials.
- NYS Bar Admission required.
