Description:
An American Law Firm is seeking a Trial Associate with three to five years of experience to join our Seattle office. The associate will have the opportunity to work in all phases of litigation, from pleading through trial and appeal. Cases will cover a wide range of industries. The position would involve significant responsibility over pending cases, in-court experience, and motion-drafting and meaningful roles in evidentiary hearings and trials. Specifically, the associate will handle the following types of tasks for complex litigation matters:- discovery
- oral advocacy
- brief writing
- depositions
- research
- trial preparation
- trial
Required qualifications include:
- A JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Three to five years of general commercial litigation experience (state and federal)
- Washington bar admission, or the ability to be admitted to the Washington bar
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Top academic credentials
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Financial services/securities litigation experience
- Trusts & Estates/fiduciary litigation experience
