Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for a highly skilled and experienced transactional Real Estate associate. The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of experience, a strong background in commercial leasing (including ground leases), built-to-suit development, and real estate acquisitions, with a focus on representing tenants and buyers in sophisticated retail and industrial transactions. This position offers direct client interaction with a major national retailer, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-volume transactions for a nationally recognized firm that values collaboration and your expertise. Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in state where the office resides.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proven experience in retail and industrial real estate transactions, with a focus on leasing, ground leases, and acquisitions.
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Experience in the retail and industrial sectors.
- Experience with ground lease structures, built-to-suit development agreements, and related transactional documentation.
- Ability to review and analyze title commitments, surveys, and due diligence materials in connection with acquisitions and development projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic real estate team.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage real estate transactions for retail and industrial properties, including built-to-suit development projects, ground leases, and acquisitions.
- Negotiate and draft ground leases, development agreements, lease agreements, purchase contracts, and other related transactional documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
- Provide advice and representation of tenants and buyers in leasing, ground lease, and acquisition transactions.
- Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, and environmental reports in connection with acquisitions and development projects.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
