Description:
Mathis Law Group is seeking an experienced Transaction Attorney to join our Firm. This is a full-time, remote position .Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of transactional matters, overseeing each from intake through closing and ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft and review contracts, entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance and policy matters.
- Analyze and advise clients on best practices and business objectives, and collaboration on risk mitigation and loss control.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Firm to contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in the State of Florida.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate and business law.
- Experience in entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, employment matters, and federal and state regulatory compliance preferred.
- Transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience strongly preferred.
- Superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with practice management and document automation software (e.g., matter management systems, document merge/templating tools).
