Job Description:
The Washington, D.C. office of Holland & Knight seeks an associate with 3 – 5 years of experience in trademark and copyright matters, including a strong understanding of prosecution of applications for U.S. registration, rules and procedures of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and experience in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Position will also include counseling regarding domestic and foreign trademark disputes, trademark clearance and selection, maintenance of U.S. and international trademark portfolios, copyright counseling, licensing matters, and domain name disputes. Litigation experience is also preferred.

Excellent writing and communication skills are required, including the ability to deal skillfully and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and foreign trademark counsel.

Job Requirements:

3-5 years of transferable experience.
Experience with trademark prosecution and TTAB proceedings preferred.
Excellent academic credentials, research, writing, and communication skills.
Active member of the D.C. Bar or eligible for admission.

This position may be filled in Washington, D.C. In accordance with applicable Pay Transparency Laws, the pay range for this position in this location is $260,000 - $365,000/yr. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
