Job Description and Salary
ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking an associate in our Silicon Valley or San Francisco office to join the 2nd or 3rd year class for its Trademark & Copyright group. We are seeking a smart, self-motivated candidate with strong legal and analytical skills, sound judgment, and a client-focused approach to join our fast-paced and collaborative practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling trademark and copyright matters, including domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement. Candidates should have experience counseling clients on trademark selection, use, and protection strategies and assisting with trademark disputes and brand protection matters. Experience with copyright counseling, licensing, domain name disputes, advertising and unfair competition issues, intellectual property agreements, and online brand enforcement is a plus. Exposure to technology, digital media, consumer products, retail, or internet-based businesses is strongly preferred.
The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $225,000 to a maximum of $240,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive bonus program with opportunities for discretionary incentives that may include productivity, business development, and merit-based components, subject to applicable policies.
