Corporate litigation and transactional law firm, located in the Financial District, is seeking a high-performing tort defense attorney to join our insurance defense group. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 7 to 9 years of experience with strong research and drafting skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, an ability to manage multiple projects and be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. We are also seeking candidates with Trial experience.Responsibilities include:
- Manage caseload from inception to conclusion;
- Drafting motions and memoranda;
- Appear in Court for conferences and oral arguments;
- Conduct and defend depositions;
- Drafting and responding to discovery demands;
- Conduct risk assessments, counsel clients, draft status reports; and
- Negotiate settlements.
