Job Description:Responsibilities:
Orrick's Technology Companies Group is seeking a Managing or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4+ years of experience to join a destination, AI-focused practice in our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York or Santa Monica office. Our Technology Companies Group represents leading AI companies including Anthropic, Mercor, Fireworks, Etched, Flapping Airplanes and many others, through all stages of the life cycle.
This role is a rare opportunity to represent companies and investors that are at the forefront of the AI industry. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to build on new and existing relationships with accelerator programs such as Prod and AGI House.
The ideal candidate has a track record of providing excellent service to high-growth companies and is comfortable working on a team with corporate and specialist colleagues in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The firm has a history of recognizing strong performance, and exceptional associates may be considered for accelerated advancement, including early partnership consideration.
Orrick is proud to be one of the only firms with deep Silicon Valley roots and a global, multi-sector platform that scales with our clients as they grow. During the past two years, we've closed more than 2,000 venture capital financings with aggregate proceeds of over $80 billion, representing leading companies and investors, and are top 3 in venture capital league tables. As a Managing/Senior Associate, you will have significant responsibility for leading client teams.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a major law firm, focusing on private offerings, venture capital, and transactions for emerging companies. The role demands a highly driven individual with exceptional client service and organizational ability, excellent verbal and written communication, and a desire to work with market-leading clients. Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located is required.
