Orrick's Technology Companies Group is seeking an Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience with a passion for high-growth emerging technology businesses to join the San Francisco or New York office. Orrick is proud to be one of the only firms to offer a destination practice with deep Silicon Valley roots and a broad global platform that scales with our clients as they grow. During the past two years, we closed more than 2,000 deals valued at $80 billion in venture capital financings, representing such hot tech companies as Anthropic, Deel, Mistral, Stripe, as well as investors including Atomico, Bessemer, Coatue Management, Crosslink, Fifth Wall and Marcy Venture Partners. We have advised on numerous high-profile M&A deals in the market, including SAP's acquisition of Wilke, BeReal's sale Voodoo, MosaicML's sale to Databricks and Casetext's sale to Thomson Reuters.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in a major law firm, focusing on private offerings, venture capital, and transactions for emerging companies. The role demands a highly driven individual with outstanding academic skills in both verbal, written communication, and excellent interpersonal abilities. The candidate would be resident in our San Francisco or New York offices. Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $390,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
