Lathrop GPM is seeking a highly qualified Patent Agent or Technology Specialist to join our team in any of our offices across the US but with preference to either Boston, Chicago or Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in biotech patent prosecution, with demonstrated proficiency in patent searching and drafting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and other IP-related opinions.

We are looking for a self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious scientist with an advanced degree in a relevant field such as cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, bioengineering, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health. An advanced degree is required, and prior experience as a patent agent, or in a law firm or industry setting, is strongly preferred.

The current anticipated salary range is $125,000 - $200,000. Actual initial salary may be above or below the identified range and will be based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law. A full comprehensive benefit plan is provided and includes health care, retirement plan, parental leave, and short/long term disability.
