Tax Controversy Associate

The Tax Controversy practice at Chamberlain Hrdlicka is seeking an Associate in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of practical experience with IRS audits, appeals, or litigation, preferably in different subject matters and representing different types of clients (e.g., individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts). We have a very diverse workload, and proven ability to adapt to changing and different issues is a plus. A strong candidate will have law firm or accounting firm experience. A degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax, Tax Court clerkship or government experience with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel or DOJ-Tax Division is strongly preferred but not required. Candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials. A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form with strong attention to detail is a must. A successful candidate has the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as within a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff. Must be admitted to practice in Georgia.
