We are also recognized by the leading global legal directories — Chambers USA and The Legal 500 US — and have become a destination for bet-the-company and industry-changing appeals.A Law Firm Advises on Transactions, Litigation and Regulatory Matters seeks an attorney with extensive Supreme Court and appellate litigation experience to join the firm's Supreme Court and Appellate (SCA) Group as Supreme Court Counsel. The core purpose of the position is to support and continue to build A Law Firm Advises on Transactions, Litigation and Regulatory Matters's Supreme Court practice. The Counsel's responsibilities will be focused on Supreme Court litigation. They include: (1) working in close collaboration with partners in the Group to supervise, draft, and edit certiorari and merits stage briefing; (2) developing and executing strategic initiatives to continue the expansion of the SCA Group's presence before the Court; and (3) managing and developing associates in the SCA Group regarding Supreme Court matters.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a former Supreme Court and/or federal court of appeals clerk with a minimum of 7 years of experience (preferably 10 years or more) in appellate litigation, including extensive experience in the Supreme Court. The position requires superb writing, oral communication, and management skills. A significant portion of the job will involve developing and supporting client relationships, and so interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial bent are essential. The position can be located at any of A Law Firm Advises on Transactions, Litigation and Regulatory Matters's offices, but Washington, DC is preferred. A flexible or reduced-time schedule will be considered.
