Description:Supervising Immigration Attorney (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Sebastian Simon Immigration Law is seeking an experienced, bilingual Immigration Attorney to join our growing team. This position is primarily remote but requires residence in the Houston area to attend Immigration Court hearings, USCIS interviews, and occasional in-person meetings.
We are looking for a confident, independent attorney who can review cases, develop legal strategies, supervise legal work, and represent clients before USCIS and the Immigration Court. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful responsibility, flexibility, and long-term growth within an established and expanding immigration law firm.
Responsibilities:
- Review and oversee family-based immigration, asylum, waiver, and removal defense cases
- Provide legal guidance and support to paralegals and legal staff
- Attend Immigration Court hearings and USCIS interviews
- Prepare and review motions, briefs, declarations, legal memoranda, and complex filings
- Develop case strategies and identify potential legal issues
- Assist with quality control and legal oversight of cases
- Train and mentor legal staff as needed
- Collaborate closely with firm leadership on case management and workflow improvement
- Handle client consultations on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed attorney in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) required
- Minimum of 3 years of immigration law experience preferred
- Experience handling Immigration Court matters and USCIS interviews
- Strong knowledge of family-based immigration, asylum, waivers, and removal defense
- Ability to independently manage cases and make sound legal judgments
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Residence in the Houston area or willingness to relocate
