Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Strategy & Oversight: Provide high-level technical review and strategy for complex cases, including Removal Defense, Family-Based Petitions, Naturalization, Waivers, and BIA/Federal Appeals.
  • Team Mentorship: Supervise and train a team of junior associates and paralegals, fostering their professional growth and ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Litigation Leadership: Lead the firm's presence in Immigration Court (EOIR) and manage the strategy for appellate briefs and motions to reopen.
  • Case Management Systems: Work alongside the Operations Manager to optimize case flows, ensuring that our "client-centric" value is reflected in our communication and processing speeds.
  • Compliance: Maintain the highest ethical standards, ensuring all team members follow state bar rules and federal immigration regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of dedicated experience in immigration law, with a proven track record in high-stakes litigation and complex family-based filings.
  • Licensure: Active member in good standing of any State Bar (New York Bar preferred).
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of the INA, particularly regarding inadmissibility grounds, 237(a) deportability, and the nuances of the 2026 regulatory updates.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing a team of legal professionals.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing skills (for appeals) and a compassionate, clear communication style for client interactions.
  • Language: Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is highly preferred given our client demographic.

The salary range for this role considers many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual's skills, U.S. experience, qualifications, work location, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors noted.

A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work at our White Plains office is:
$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year (plus discretionary year-end bonus)
