Description:
Law Offices of Robert Bond, Esq. is seeking an experienced immigration attorney to help lead our immigration practice. This position is based in our Philadelphia office and requires regular travel to our Brooklyn office.The right candidate will combine strong legal judgment, courtroom experience, careful case management, and a practical approach to supervising attorneys and support staff. You will handle complex matters directly while helping the team maintain high standards for client service, written advocacy, deadlines, and case preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied immigration caseload, including removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, employment-based matters, and naturalization
- Represent clients in Immigration Court, at USCIS interviews, and in other administrative proceedings
- Supervise, mentor, and support attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff in Philadelphia and Brooklyn
- Review and finalize immigration forms, motions, briefs, appeals, declarations, and supporting evidence
- Develop case strategy, identify risks, and ensure deadlines and filing requirements are met
- Communicate clearly with clients from diverse backgrounds, including clients facing stressful or urgent circumstances
- Work collaboratively with firm leadership on case assignments, quality control, and practice development
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- At least five years of direct immigration law experience preferred
- Substantial experience with removal defense, asylum, and family-based immigration
- Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and organizational skills
- Experience supervising attorneys or legal staff strongly preferred
- Sound judgment, professional accountability, and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Comfort using immigration case-management and legal-research technology
Language Skills:
Professional proficiency in Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, or another language commonly spoken by our clients is preferred. Additional language skills are welcome.
