Summer Internship 2026: June 1st , 2026 - August 21st, 2026

Location – Low Hybrid
This is a hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at our Cashton, WI office for 3-5 days per week and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Summary of Role
The Summer Law Clerk at CROPP (Organic Valley) offers an opportunity for education and training alongside in-house counsel. This role is designed to provide practical legal experience and exposure to various aspects of corporate law within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in legal research and preparation of legal and/or department documents. Participate in meetings and provide summaries of legal issues.Collaborate with various departments to gather information and work cross functionally with the legal department. Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations including research on compliance related issues.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Present summary of work completed and impact on department to senior leadership.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Completed post-secondary education (college/university).Currently enrolled in law school (rising 2L or 3L). Strong research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Interest in organic and working with farmers and cooperative business model preferred.

Base hourly wage range: $18.00 per hour
This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage range is not typical.

Internship Program Overview:
  • Program concludes after 12 weeks (first week of June start date)
