Holland & Hart invites second-year law students to apply to our 2026 Summer Program. Summer clerks receive substantive research and writing assignments and participate in a variety of legal projects. The summer clerk experience includes legal and practical skills training programs, work assignment supervision, dedicated mentorship, and opportunities to work on pro bono matters and to give back to our communities. In addition to real work experience, the summer program offers a variety of social, networking, and community activities that are designed to get to know the members of your summer class and colleagues throughout the firm.

Hiring criteria:
Holland & Hart seeks second-year (2L) students who bring a balance of strong academic performance, intellectual capability, and effective interpersonal skills. We look for well-rounded individuals who display motivation, maturity, creativity, and independence. Participation in mock trial, moot court or on a journal is highly preferred.

Please be prepared to submit your resume, unofficial law school transcript, and cover letter. Second-year law student summer clerks are hired based on the needs of practice groups as well as those of each of the offices and the firm in its entirety. In your cover letter, please specify the office in which you are interested as well as your practice area(s) of interest.
