Summer Associate
Overview:
Ansell.Law is seeking a 2L Law Student to join our esteemed law firm as a Summer Associate. All candidates must be in their second year of law school and in the top third of their class. Ideally with legal counseling and litigation exposure. Prior law clerk experience is a plus.

Location: 1500 Lawrence Ave, Ocean, NJ 07712
Pay: $55/Hour
Hours: 9:00 AM- 5:15 PM Monday through Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Significant and substantive legal research and writing
• Attend court, take depositions, and engage in all aspects of busy commercial litigation practice in state and federal court
• Communicate with courts, counsel, and clients
• Research cases by interviewing, reading dispositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with client to determine the best strategy

Requirements:

• Must be entering their second year of law school in the fall of 2026.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must be resourceful and work as a team player as well as independently
• Must be able to work shift hours and seasonal changes based on the needs of the business
• Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs., sit for extended periods of time, use stairs, reach, twist, bend, stretch, climb, walk and/or run
• Experience with advising clients to litigate disputes concerning construction and insurance matters
• Knowledge of the IManage Document Management System and Orion is a plus
