Description:
Description:Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll is one of the largest and most diversified plaintiff-side litigation firms in the country, with more than 100 attorneys working in a variety of practices across eight offices. We champion the causes of workers, consumers, small business owners, investors, and whistleblowers, on whose behalf we work to deliver corporate reforms and fair markets for the common good. Our firm has earned an international reputation by litigating complex, high-stakes cases, many of which have resulted in landmark decisions on previously novel issues involving antitrust, securities, consumer rights, civil rights, employee benefits, human rights, and other far-reaching matters.
Cohen Milstein is now accepting applications for its 2027 Summer Associate Program for our Washington, D.C./New York office. We are seeking exceptional, motivated candidates with strong writing and analytical skills who will have completed their second year of law school by the summer of 2027.
Our Summer Associates are integral members of our litigation teams and gain meaningful experience doing real legal work under the supervision of firm attorneys. In prior years, Summer Associates have:
Drafted portions of trial and appellate briefs;
Assisted in preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials;
Researched legal and factual issues, with their work incorporated into case strategy; and
Collaborated with co-counsel from leading firms nationwide on matters with national and international scope.
The summer program typically begins the day after Memorial Day and runs for 10 weeks. (Students whose academic calendars end later may start following the end of their quarter.) We are also open to candidates seeking to split their summer with another firm, government, or public interest organization.
