Opportunity:We are seeking mid-level to senior associates with four to five years of experience to join our fast-growing Asset-Based Finance and Securitization Practice. You will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the growth of the practice, which is strategically important to the Firm and our Capital Solutions team. About the Practice:
Akin's Asset-Based Finance Practice works with private credit and other investors in structuring complex asset-based transactions and executing both traditional and bespoke asset-based financings and securitizations. Additionally, we advise originators and issuers on accessing private capital in the ABF market through securitizations, warehouse financings and whole loan sales.
As part of Akin's integrated capital solutions team, we take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on Akin's capabilities in fund finance, special situations, investment management and private equity. We work collaboratively to address structuring, regulatory, tax and governance considerations in complex structures. We advise on transactions involving a broad array of asset classes - consumer, commercial, infrastructure and hard assets and esoteric.
Requirements:
We are looking for talented self-starters who possess the drive to achieve results for our clients, and have the capacity to assume increasing responsibility in a highly successful international law firm. Candidates must be admitted to, and in good standing with, the bar of the state in which they intend to practice.
- Substantive experience with structured finance, securitization and/or asset-based structured finance. Experience with ABS, CLOs, CFOs and/or rated facilities is preferred.
- Prior experience as a key member of deal teams, including responsibility for document drafting and transaction management.
- Exposure to fund finance, special situation financings, out-of-court and in-court restructurings and/or private credit transactions is helpful.
- This position is required to be available to work in person. All employees are required to comply with the firm's employment policies.
The base salary range for this position in New York City is $225,000 to $445,000. Additional information about benefits and rewards can be found here.
