Description:Drury Development Corporation, a family-owned and operated real estate development company based in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks a junior level real estate attorney to join its established in-house legal department.
Qualified candidates should have some prior legal experience working on a variety of routine real estate related legal documents in either an in-house legal department or law firm.
Duties:
- Reviews and prepares various agreements and legal documents including contracts, leases, licenses, amendments, broker agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, purchase and sale agreements, easements, etc.
- Researches and analyzes laws and regulations necessary to complete their work.
- Participates in legal department meetings and initiatives such as template development and works closely with senior legal counsel on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations.
- Typically reports to the Senior Corporate Counsel or Associate General Counsel. May lead and direct the work of paralegals and support staff.
Requirements:
Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admittance to a state bar.
Typically requires 2-3 years of related experience.
This is an in-person office position; standard office hours are required.
