Mitchell Barlow & Mansfield, P.C. is a mid-sized, full-service law firm located in Salt Lake City, Utah which is comprised of former large-firm attorneys. Mitchell Barlow & Mansfield is involved in many high profile litigation matters. The firm is seeking to hire an attorney to work with the firm's litigation group to prepare legal briefs and take primary responsibility for research and writing assignments.This attorney will be involved in a broad variety of business, real estate, and commercial litigation matters, and will be responsible for completing legal research and writing functions, as assigned by the firm's attorneys. These assignments are likely to include appellate briefs, summary judgment and other dispositive motion filings, and numerous other substantive briefs and filings with the court.
Competitive applicants should have excellent writing, research, organizational, and communication skills. Successful candidates will also be detail-oriented, hardworking, and possess strong interpersonal skills, and work well in a team environment. The firm is willing to offer flexibility in scheduling and to consider remote work for a portion of the workday and/or flexible hours. Other hours and working arrangements may be considered by the firm.
Candidates must be an active member of the Utah Bar or be willing to take the Utah State Bar exam as soon as possible. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience working for a law firm as a litigation attorney. Compensation is very competitive, beginning at $140,000, and the firm offers excellent employee benefits, including 401K participation and fully paid health and dental insurance.
