Primary Responsibilities:
- Protect clients from legal risks and regulatory violations in all business transactions
- Assist in insurance compliance and audits
- Perform complex legal research and extensive due diligence
- Evaluate current and new projects, partnerships, mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions
- Maintain good relationships while providing legal advice
- Draft, review, and modify service contracts, terms and conditions
- Negotiate on the clients' behalf to create, modify, and execute deals
- Provide legal counsel related to employment law, workers compensation in Oklahoma and Texas
- Oversee support staff, paralegals, and outside lawyers hired to assist
- Advise company's staff and help establish best practices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong research and writing skills
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Experience with Westlaw and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually with minimal direct supervision
- Strong legal knowledge specifically in contract administration, working with Master Service Agreements and some litigation-like matters
- A degree from an ABA accredited law school and a bar member in good standing
