We are looking for a Staff Attorney
Target total compensation ranges from $170,000 - $214,000, including a fixed annual salary of $153,000 - $174,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits.

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.

About the role:
As we scale rapidly globally, we're looking for a practical, business-minded attorney to join our lean, AI-enabled Legal team. This role is for someone who thrives in fast-moving, data-rich environments, can partner closely with commercial teams, and has the judgment to balance speed with risk.

You'll be a key advisor to Rokt's commercial and operational teams, helping us scale responsibly while unlocking impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements with customers and suppliers, including SaaS, ecommerce, ad-tech/mar-tech, data processing, licensing, and strategic partnerships
  • Provide commercially astute counsel to Rokt's global go-to-market, product, and partnerships teams, balancing risk with business velocity
  • Review and negotiate vendor agreements
  • Partner with the team's paralegals and legal ops professionals on improving processes and automating tasks with tools like Claude Cowork and OpenAI's Codex.
  • Partner with Finance, People, and Operations to streamline contracting processes and accelerate deal flow, including through automation and CLM (Ironclad) optimization
  • Lean in as needed to other areas like corporate governance, employment, and regulatory issues

Requirements:
About You:
  • JD with strong academic credentials; admitted to practice in the US
  • We welcome both entry-level attorneys and attorneys with relevant prior experience; experience or demonstrated exposure to commercial contracting, technology transactions, ecommerce, ad-tech, mar-tech, or other high-growth technology environments is a plus, but not required.
  • Extremely comfortable using AI and agentic AI to solve complex problems and automate more routine ones.
  • Comfortable negotiating complex commercial and data-related agreements
  • Good at simplifying complexity—clear, concise legal drafting and advice is your superpower
  • Strong project management skills; thrive handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Collaborative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders across geographies and levels
  • High degree of initiative, sound judgment
  • Experience implementing or managing CLM systems (Ironclad preferred) a strong plus
