Description:
The Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati and its affiliate Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, LLC (“Legal Aid Society”), seek to sponsor a candidate to work in our Cincinnati or Hamilton, Ohio office for the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation Justice for All Fellowship for 2027-2029. Legal Aid is a non-profit law firm dedicated to reducing poverty and ensuring family stability through effective legal assistance. Legal Aid provides legal services in Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren Counties in Southwest Ohio.We are seeking a fellow to lead a Kinship Permanency Project focused on supporting low-income individuals raising children in kinship care arrangements. Many kinship caregivers want to provide stable, permanent homes but run into legal and financial barriers, including limited access to affordable legal help and confusion around available financial benefits. The fellow will work directly with families to pursue legal custody and adoption as a path to permanency and help kinship caregivers access financial supports. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of an innovative team to strengthen families, promote long-term stability for children, and reduce unnecessary involvement in the foster care system.
