The Position:
Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking a Senior Level Bankruptcy Associate, Senior Counsel, or Partner to join our Denver office. The candidate should have a minimum of five years of bankruptcy experience, including working knowledge and comfort handling chapter 11 cases. The ideal candidate will also have experience with insolvency and creditor's rights, hearings/trials in state and federal court, pre-trial litigation including motion practice on contested matters in bankruptcy proceedings or otherwise and be comfortable and familiar with appearing and arguing in bankruptcy court. An ideal candidate would be comfortable handling debtor-side issues within chapter 11 cases.

This position is located in our Denver office, in our modern, brand new offices located downtown.

Knowledge Base & Education:
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • A minimum of five years of bankruptcy litigation experience

For Colorado applicants only (as required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act): The annual compensation range for this position in our Denver office starts at $225,000. Compensation is determined based on qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible to participate in Michael Best's associate bonus program, subject to the program's conditions and restrictions. This position is considered full-time and is therefore eligible to participate in employer-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, as well as elective/voluntary life, disability, and accident coverage. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the firm's 401k plan.
