Here's What You'll Be Doing
- Provide Highly Responsible Professional and Administrative Support to The Commissioner, Which Involves Organizing, Planning, Directing, and Coordinating Commission Activities.
- Represent the Commissioner on Committees and Budgetary Matters that Include Establishing Agency Goals and Objectives, and Developing And/or Approving Schedules, Priorities, and Standards for Achieving Goals.
- Direct, Organize, Coordinate, and Facilitate Special Project, Management Analysis, Support Services Activities, and Program Analysis Issues for The Commissioner. Confer with And Advise Key Staff Members on Major Policies and Procedures.
- Consult with Agency Staff on Program Achievements And/or Problems in Identifying, Researching, Evaluating, and Providing Solutions to Problems/issues.
- Develop, Draft, Edit, and Prepare Speeches and Agency Guidelines, Procedures, Policies, Rules and Regulations.
Qualifications:
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in Administrative or Environmental Law.
- Experience Working with Or Within a State or Federal Agency.
- Experience Working for A Texas Elected Official or Texas Legislative Member.
Required Education & Experience:
Admission to The State Bar of Texas Plus Five Years of Full-Time Experience in The Practice of Law, or Employment in A Responsible Position Involving Legal Work as A Primary Duty or Five Years of Full-Time Experience in The Practice of Environmental Law or Employment Involving Environmental Legal Work.
Employees in This Classification Series May Research, Work On, or Have Access to Critical Infrastructure, Including but Not Limited to A Communication Infrastructure System, Cybersecurity System, Electric Grid, Hazardous Waste Treatment System, or Water Treatment Facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the Ability to Maintain the Security or Integrity of The Infrastructure Is a Requirement to Be Hired for And to Continue to Be Employed with Tceq.
