The Role You'll Play to Create SuccessWe are excited to announce our search for a full-time Senior Trial Attorney! In this role, you will contribute to the mission of FrankCrum by supporting the Managing Trial Attorney in the defense of Frank Winston Crum Insurance Company and Clear Blue Insurance Company's insureds (“Insureds”) in litigated matters involving in property, bodily injury, and construction defect claims throughout the State of Florida.
- Updates continuously all aspects of assigned matters from pre-trial through post-trial resolution.
- Develops and implements strategies to achieve team litigation objectives and obtain prompt resolution of claims and lawsuits.
- Defends and represents Insureds in moderate complexity property, bodily injury and construction defect claims and lawsuits.
- Prepares and manage pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions and any other tasks or duties necessary for the proper representation of Insureds.
- Ensures all carrier reporting guidelines are adhered to timely and with sufficient substantive detail.
- Maintains a cooperative partnership with Claims Management/Staff and clients in the handling of all claims and lawsuits.
- Analyzes case performance on open and closed files.
The Attributes We Seek
- Must have received a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- Seven (7) plus years of relevant civil litigation experience, preferably with a substantial portion of that time involved with insurance defense-oriented litigation.
- Jury trial experience preferred but not required.
- Experience litigating construction defect claims, including Chapter 558 pre-suit requirements.
- Experience litigating property and general liability claims.
- Construction Law Board Certification/and or Board-Certified Trial Attorney preferred but not required.
- Experience with litigation case management platforms. Experience with Clio preferred.
- Proficiency with legal technology, including document management systems, e-discovery platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools utilized to support legal research, document review, drafting, and workflow efficiency.
