What You'll Do:
As our Senior Product Counsel you will be the primary legal partner to our product and engineering teams. You will sit at the center of product development and help ensure that our team creates, launches, and supports our products in a legally compliant and practical way. You will provide clear, relevant guidance that balances risk, user trust, and business velocity, with an approach that moves the business forward at scale. You will report to the VP, Regulatory, Product and AI. This is a remote position within the United States.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Program teams throughout the product lifecycle—from concept through launch and iteration.
  • Identify and assess legal, regulatory, and contractual issues related to new products and features, data flows, integrations, and user experiences.
  • Provide practical recommendations that support innovation while maintaining legal compliance and managing risk, privacy and data use
  • Working with Privacy Counsel, facilitate evaluation of new product features and data practices for compliance with global privacy and data protection laws; ensure understanding of privacy notices, data maps, and customer commitments
  • Help maintain privacy-by-design processes and product privacy reviews. Regulatory & Compliance Support
  • Monitor and interpret laws affecting SaaS products, including privacy, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and sector-specific regulations and standards.
  • Work with other Legal and Compliance partners to operationalize new legal requirements across products. Commercial and Go-to-Market Agreement
  • Collaborate with Commercial Legal, Sales, and Marketing to ensure product claims, descriptions, and commitments are accurate and supportable.
  • Contribute to product terms, Service level agreements, acceptable use policies, and customer-facing product documentation. Governance processes
  • Help develop scalable legal review processes, playbooks, training materials, and internal guidance for product teams

What You'll Need to be Successful
  • J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience (in-house or combination of in-house and law firm).
  • Experience supporting SaaS or technology products.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, data protection, IP, and marketing law.
  • You understand technical concepts and translate them into legal guidance.
  • Experience working with modern legal-tech tools, including AI, to work smarter, respond faster, and provide a better client experience.
  • Experience advising on AI/ML products preferred.

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Colorado $153,300-$252,900 (annually)
Washington $153,300-$279,600 (annually)
California $153,300-$306,300(annually)
NYC $185,500-$306,300 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on athe terms of the applicable plan and the employee's role
