Description:
A Video Game Developer Company is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel, Litigation to join our Legal team. In this role, you will provide management and support for a variety of litigation, disputes, and investigations, including consumer, product liability, insurance, and intellectual property disputes. You will report to our Head of Litigation.The position is located at A Video Game Developer Company Headquarters in San Mateo, CA. A Video Game Developer Company mandatory in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday with optional in-office days on Monday and Friday.
You Will:
- Collaborate with and manage outside litigation counsel
- Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks
- Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities and subpoena responses
- Address pre-litigation disputes
- Assist internal investigations
- Support Legal department and team related projects, as assigned
You Have:
- 7+ years of litigation experience
- Must have law firm experience; technology company experience preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization preferred
- Broad complex litigation experience, with emphasis in consumer, products liability, multi-district litigations, and/or class actions
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and risk assessment
- Strong and effective drafting skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Practical business acumen, driving pragmatic business-oriented solutions
- A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach
- Superb organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
You Are:
- A member in good standing of the California Bar or another bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in California
- An accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently
