Description:
At Jimerson Birr, our team has accepted the lasting responsibility of protecting our clients' rights, businesses, properties, investments, and finances. Our professionals are integral, trusted advisers and advocates in both established and emerging businesses, giving our clients insights into legal and business considerations that guide prudent decision-making. We work with some of the world's most respected and well-established businesses, as well as start-up visionaries, and individuals looking to overcome challenges.About the role:
Jimerson Birr is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney—a driven, fast-moving, decisive litigator who thrives on challenge, pressure, and high-stakes advocacy. You don't wait for problems to come to you—you run toward them.
You take ownership the moment a case lands on your desk. You cut through complexity, take command of strategy, and push matters forward with urgency and clarity.
This role is built for a persuasive advocate who wants variety, autonomy, and influence, and who brings a steady, confident presence even when navigating risk. You're energized by time-sensitive demands, multiple moving pieces, and situations where sharp judgment matters.
At JB, “great lawyering” isn't defined by hours worked, it's measured by on-plan execution, disciplined delivery, and visible progress backed by systems that create clarity, consistency, and client trust.
If you're the kind of attorney who steps into the arena ready to move, lead, and win—this is where you belong.
Key Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
- Seize control of case strategy from intake through resolution, driving scoping, budgeting, and execution while leading timekeepers with confidence and clarity.
- Serve as the primary client contact on most matters, providing bold, actionable guidance and escalating only when strategic shifts demand it.
- Move matters forward continuously, eliminating stagnation and keeping pressure on opposing parties, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Mentor, model, and set pace for junior attorneys and paralegals; delegate assertively and reinforce the firm's proven process and validated matter plans.
- Maintain discipline across timekeeping, SLAs, budgets, and execution.
- Operate with urgency, tackling multiple issues simultaneously and adapting quickly when demands or circumstances shift.
You will excel here if you crave challenges, embrace pressure, and feel restless without something to solve.
