Overview:
We are seeking a SeniorLegal Counsel, Litigation & Labor and Employment to join our Legal team in Tampa, Miami, FL, Atlanta, GA. We are also open to other AtkinsRealis locations for the right candidate.

This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel, Global Claims and Disputes, with a dotted reporting line to the Regional General Counsel for USLA and is responsible for leading the labor & employment compliance and commercial dispute resolution portfolio for AtkinsRéalis in the USA.

This is a hybrid position that requires to be on‑site at least 2 days a week.

Your Role:
  • Liaise with the US regional lawyers and business clients and provide day‑to‑day support on a wide range of labor & employment and dispute resolution issues, ensuring that appropriate dispute resolution strategies are put in place.
  • Draft legal documents, conduct legal research, prepare motion papers and pleadings as required.
  • Prepare case management reports, provide legal advice, including interpreting policies and procedures and recommending and/or evaluating company initiatives to minimize litigation risks for the company.
  • Support the company's response to government inquiries and investigations, as well as provide counsel in connection with internal investigations related to possible dispute resolution or for purposes of identifying, preventing or mitigating legal liabilities.
  • Ensuring that all material litigation/arbitration have been through Early Case Assessment, have strategy roadmaps in place, are appropriately resourced internally (commercial and legal), are appropriately provisioned (where necessary) and have well managed budgets and workplans to ensure greater likelihood of expected outcomes.
  • Partnering with and efficiently managing outside counsel and other legal service providers and ensuring that there are legal budgets in place and that these are being managed effectively and proactively.
  • Work with AtkinsRéalis Risk and Insurance group to manage liability claims.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert with respect to labor & employment and dispute resolution strategies, including e‑discovery, the legal hold process, and mediation/arbitration or trial.
