Position Summary:Inframark is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its global legal and business operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and business teams, providing practical, commercially focused legal guidance across a broad range of matters, including contracting, disputes, compliance, claims, and risk management.

Reporting to: Deputy General Counsel
Direct Reports: This role will lead a small contracts team and play a key role in shaping contracting processes and risk management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracting & Commercial Support
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including customer contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, leases, and licensing arrangements.
- Analyze and respond to client terms and conditions; provide clear, business-oriented guidance to sales and operational teams.
- Support negotiation of complex commercial agreements and long-term infrastructure projects.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management
- Serve as a legal advisor to senior leadership on contract, dispute, compliance, and operational issues.
- Provide practical guidance on risk allocation, liability exposure, and regulatory obligations.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and commercial teams.
Disputes, Claims & Litigation
- Manage insured and uninsured claims, including coordination with insurers and outside counsel.
- Evaluate claims and disputes (e.g., litigation, liens, bond claims, collections) and recommend strategy.
- Oversee outside counsel, including performance and budget management.
- Assist with collections and aged receivables in collaboration with finance.
Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Advise on regulatory compliance, including environmental and government requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
- Deliver internal training on legal and compliance topics.
Strategic Initiatives
Partner on enterprise-wide initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
Required:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Missouri preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 7-12+ years of legal experience (mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred).
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
Preferred:
- Experience in construction, utility / infrastructure services, environmental services, or engineering-related industries
- Familiarity with municipal contracts and public sector procurement
- Prior experience managing litigation and outside counsel.

Work Environment & Travel
- Primarily office-based with occasional field/site exposure.
- This role is ideally based in St. Louis, MO. Remote candidates will be considered, with a preference for candidates willing to travel to St. Louis periodically.
- Travel required (approximately 1–3 nights per month)
