Meet the team:
We are looking for a highly organized attorney to serve as a Dexcom Senior Legal Counsel and make an impact at Dexcom. Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Counsel for Operations, R&D & IT, this role will globally support Indirect Procurement. You will work with a team of motivated and passionate attorneys, paralegals, and business partners.

Where you come in:

Serve as a strategic, practical legal partner supporting a broad portfolio of operational functions through commercial contracting, transactional counseling, dispute resolution, and practical risk management.
Legal advisor for Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, while collaborating with Subject Matter Experts across the enterprise.
Participate in the development of legal support personnel, including providing direction regarding contract review, issue identification, workload prioritization, and escalation of legal and business issues.
Support the development and maintenance of contract templates, playbooks, training materials, and other contracting resources.
Responsibilities may expand over time based on business needs.

What makes you successful:

5+ years drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements, preferably in regulated industries (i.e., life sciences, healthcare, or technology)
Build trusted relationships across business functions and levels of the organization.
Balance legal risk management with practical business objectives.
Communicate complex legal concepts in clear and actionable business terms.
Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse portfolio of matters while balancing competing business priorities and stakeholder needs.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage matters from inception through resolution, appropriately balancing autonomy, collaboration, and escalation of significant issues.
Leverage legal support personnel by providing direction, reviewing escalated issues, and focusing attorney resources on matters involving heightened legal, commercial, or business complexity.
