What you will do:
- Provide practical legal advice to Enbridge Gas Utah, Wexpro Company and other Enbridge businesses, as the need arises.
- Draft, review and negotiate real property agreements, including rights-of-way, easements, interconnects, property conveyances, public permits and agreements with municipalities and government agencies.
- Advise on and negotiate commercial agreements supporting business development, gas exploration and production, energy conservation programs, operations projects and key customers.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory and legal developments and advise clients on their potential impacts.
- Provide legal and risk analysis, recommendations, research, correspondence, opinions and presentations as required.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues, business functions and other business units to provide coordinated legal support.
- Manage and coordinate outside counsel and internal legal resources.
Who You Are:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Utah.
- Minimum of 8 years of directly related experience.
- Experience in and knowledge of real property and commercial law.
- Utility or energy industry experience is preferred.
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently in a diverse and dynamic enterprise and coordinate a variety of internal and external activities.
- Independent judgement, initiative, and ability to work directly with clients.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office work environment.
- Travel up to 25%.
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
