HiTHIUM's International Legal Team is seeking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel , primarily responsible for handling legal matters related to HiTHIUM's U.S.and LATAM sales, procurement, and manufacturing activities, while also supporting other legal and compliance work in the U.S. as needed. The candidate should have at least 7 years of legal experience, with hands-on experience in reviewing sales and procurement contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate various types of contracts, including sales and procurement agreements, and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to battery manufacturing and the renewable energy industry.
  • Identify potential legal risks and work with leadership to take cost-effective measures to mitigate or resolve these risks.
  • Support general corporate governance work and assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage pre-litigation risks, and if litigation arises, develop litigation strategies and coordinate with external counsel to resolve disputes.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, procurement, and HR, to provide legal advice ensuring that business objectives are achieved within the legal boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Bar license of a U.S. state is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant legal experience, with experience in the renewable energy sector preferred.
  • Extensive experience in reviewing and negotiating sales and procurement contracts.
  • Deep understanding of corporate law, contract law, and labor law, particularly those related to the manufacturing industry.
